Structural Designer - Remote Position at Stantec

About the Role

We are seeking a Structural Designer remote to join our dynamic team at Stantec. As a Structural Designer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality drawings and associated documentation for various projects. This position allows you to work remotely while contributing to innovative engineering solutions that address critical issues like climate change and infrastructure development.

What You'll Do

• Produce reinforced concrete and steelwork arrangement drawings that are clear, accurate, and cost-effective.
• Ensure compliance with specifications and construction safety standards in all detailing activities.
• Utilize standard practices and adapt previous solutions to enhance competitiveness and efficiency.
• Coordinate drawings with all other disciplines, both internal and external to Stantec.
• Maintain drawing files and records throughout the duration of contracts, ensuring quality procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Relevant ITI/diploma/BE in Civil Engineering.
• Maximum of 3 years of experience in reinforced concrete and steelwork detailing, preferably in water retaining structures or oil and gas projects.
• Hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of MicroStation/Open Building is a plus.
• Understanding of engineering drawing principles and 3D modeling.
• Familiarity with data/document management systems like ProjectWise and BIM360.
