What You'll Do

  • Develop and specify models to determine the behavioral response and impact of visual assets on user experience.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to create impactful visual merchandising strategies.
  • Implement experiment-based measurement frameworks for computer vision and multi-modal merchandising.
  • Prototype models to extract visual insights and forecast site navigation behavior.
  • Explore advanced causal inference techniques to quantify the impact of photo strategies on marketplace performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to integrate data science outputs into actionable solutions.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of relevant industry experience with a Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field.
  • Strong fluency in Python and advanced data analysis skills in SQL.
  • Experience with causal inference and machine learning techniques, ideally in a marketplace setting.
  • Preferred experience in recommendations, computer vision, and merchandising domains.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated product-oriented mindset focused on user experience.

  • Experience with AI, LLM, and topic modeling tools.
