Software QA Specialist - Remote Position

We are seeking a dedicated Software QA Specialist - Remote to join our Quality Assurance team at First Advantage. What You'll Do

• Develop and execute manual test plans and cases for various software applications.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing to ensure software quality.
• Identify and track defects using bug tracking tools to maintain high standards of quality.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, contributing to team discussions and planning sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product owners and developers to ensure alignment on testing requirements.
• Validate bug fixes and support release cycles, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Provide clear reporting of test results and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Support release readiness activities and provide input on testability and quality improvements.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in QA roles, with a strong focus on manual testing methodologies.
• Proficient in testing UI and API components, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and its impact on QA processes.
• Experience with bug and project tracking tools to manage testing workflows effectively.
• Ability to create clear and concise test documentation for various stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team-oriented environment.
