About the Role

Join Whatnot as a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2026! This remote internship offers a unique opportunity to work with the largest live shopping platform in North America and Europe. You will be part of a team that is redefining e-commerce by blending community, shopping, and entertainment.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to build new features for users in our live-streams.
• Implement growth tactics and strategies to scale our buyer and seller flows.
• Develop systems at scale that enhance the marketplace experience.
• Contribute to solving complex technical challenges and defining future engineering initiatives.
• Gain core industry skills in project ideation, management, and collaboration.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in computer science or a related major, graduating in Dec 2026 or by Summer 2027.
• Some industry software engineering experience.
• Problem solver and out-of-the-box thinker.
• Willingness to take risks and build products for 1M+ users.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with live-streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms.
• Interest in community-driven commerce.
