We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Keyfactor, Inc. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining software applications that ensure digital trust at scale.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain software features and functionalities in the Software Appliance Team in Aachen.
• Conduct code reviews, pull requests, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers and cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
• Contribute to the improvement of software development processes and practices.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Provide guidance and support to junior engineers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative development processes.
• Engage in internal and external product support when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience in software engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in software development in one or more of the following: IT Security, PKI, open-source software, and hardware security modules.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Java Enterprise, Java, Python, Bash scripting, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Ability to lead complex projects and drive strategic initiatives.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture principles and continuous integration practices.
• Strong architectural skills and advanced debugging abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SQL and Embedded Software.
