About the Role

We're looking for a Social Media Manager to grow BandLab's presence across all major social platforms. This Social Media Manager remote role is perfect for someone who loves social media, understands music tech, and enjoys a fast-moving environment. You'll be responsible for organic growth and engagement while supporting Marketing Campaigns to achieve their goals using social media as your toolset.

What You'll Do

  • Own daily social media operations, content planning, and user engagement across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and the BandLab App Feed.
  • Find and collaborate with creators, artists, producers, and influencers to source user-generated content (UGC).
  • Manage user engagement by responding to comments and fostering community interaction.
  • Track and report on performance across all major social platforms using native social media analytics and tools such as Meltwater, Airtable, Metricool, and more.
  • Work cross-functionally with creative teams to produce branded content for regular campaigns.
  • Help ideate new ideas to support campaign goals and enhance brand visibility.
  • Stay up to date with current trends on social media, including platform best practices and fresh developments in social media marketing.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of social media management experience, ideally in music or tech.
  • A portfolio and proven record running social media accounts with strong organic growth.
  • Data-driven mindset; you test, learn, iterate, and make decisions based on numbers.
  • Deep personal passion for music creation (bonus if you use DAWs yourself).
  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut or similar) with an eye for social media editing styles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Nice to Have

  • Copywriting experience: Ability to write compelling copy for social media content or provide constructive feedback to writers.
  • Influencer marketing management: Experience sourcing, negotiating, and delivering influencer content.
  • Project management: Proficiency in project management tools with a skill set for planning campaigns with numerous deliverables.
  • Management experience: Experience managing interns or juniors to assist with scaling social media efforts.
