About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Service Crew Operator remote to join our team at Gold Fields. This role offers a FIFO (Fly In, Fly Out) arrangement from Perth or residential options in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie, working on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster. As a Service Crew Operator remote, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our underground mining operations.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repairs of operating equipment.
  • Action all allocated tasks in accordance with current site environmental policies, focusing on controlling and communicating all environmental spills, particularly oil and hydraulic leaks.
  • Support Trades personnel with rebuilds and repairs, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Carry out operational tasks related to ventilation, water, and power, assisting colleagues as needed.
  • Operate tools and equipment, including Elevated Work Platforms and Integrated Tool Carriers, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.

Requirements

  • Experience in underground operations in a service or paste crew position is preferable.
  • Extensive record of safe underground mining practices.
  • Possession of a C Class Drivers Licence; MR Drivers Licence is desirable.
  • First Aid ticket and Basic Rigging/CN Crane ticket are desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and seek advice from the Shift Leading Hand as required.

  • Experience with environmental management in mining operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
