Senior Technical Product Manager - Gaming Industry
About the Role
Scopely is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to join our Star Trek™ Fleet Command team on a remote basis. This Senior Technical Product Manager remote position is crucial for ensuring we effectively plan, prioritize, and communicate our technology needs across the studio. As a senior member of the discipline, you will help shape clear, balanced technology roadmaps, ensuring technical requirements are well understood and supporting teams and leadership with high-quality insights that enable strong decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Define the end-to-end lifecycle of technical products across infrastructure, core technologies, and game services.
- Build and communicate clear, outcome-focused technical roadmaps that balance team needs, user value, and engineering realities.
- Work closely with partners across engineering, product, analytics, and operations to understand problems and define meaningful technical work.
- Explain scope, trade-offs, and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Interpret data and system behavior to inform planning, prioritization, and adjustments to the roadmap.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, impact-driven way.
- Mentor junior Technical Product Managers by sharing good practices in scoping, communication, and stakeholder management.
- Contribute to raising the bar for TPM craft through clear documentation, structured planning, and strong product thinking.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of technical concepts across infrastructure, services, pipelines, or platform systems.
- 5–8+ years of experience in technical product, technical program, engineering, or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex technical issues for varied audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to use data, insights, and product judgment to inform decisions and shape roadmaps.
- A proactive, outcome-driven approach with strong ownership and follow-through.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on live service or free-to-play games.
- Familiarity with game development workflows, including CI/CD pipelines and mobile app distribution.
- A passion for games and curiosity about how different genres and systems are built.
