Senior Systems Mechanical Engineer - Elevator Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Vantage Elevation. As a Senior Systems Mechanical Engineer remote, you will play a hands-on role in developing, testing, and certifying elevator systems that support safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions used every day.

What You'll Do

• Develop, test, and certify modernization and new equipment elevator systems.
• Lead and drive engineering projects from concept through production readiness.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Lean principles to system designs.
• Perform design analysis, experiments, DFMEAs, and FEAs to validate performance and quality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, sales, technical support, product management, and program management teams.
• Support troubleshooting efforts and system evaluations when needed.
• Contribute ideas for new products and improvements to existing products.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in elevator applications and R&D environments.
• Strong experience leading medium to large-scale engineering projects with minimal guidance.
• Experience working across multiple teams in a fast-paced R&D or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience creating 3D models, assemblies, and complex dimensioned drawings.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, stamping, and machining.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Elevator industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing material masters within CAD and ERP systems (Visual ERP a plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong work ethic with effective time management and organizational skills.
