About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Management Consultant - Elastic Cloud Deployment APM remote to join our dynamic team at UnitedHealth Group. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing health outcomes through technology, directly impacting millions of lives. Your expertise will help us build and maintain the Enterprise Elastic APM tool, leveraging AI tools like GitHub Copilot and M365 Copilot for scripting updates.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and implement scalable Elastic Stack solutions tailored to enterprise needs, including Elastic Cloud deployments.
  • Lead migration efforts from legacy systems to Elastic Stack-based platforms.
  • Design and deploy Elastic Stack components in containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Manage and optimize Elastic Stack deployments on Linux VMs and Elastic Cloud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data ingestion, indexing, and visualization strategies.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across all deployments.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Document architecture decisions, deployment procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Hands-on experience with Elastic Cloud deployment and management.
  • Proven experience with the full Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats).
  • Solid experience with Linux VM administration and deployment.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Solid background in system architecture and enterprise migration projects.
  • Proficiency in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize Elastic Stack configurations.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
