About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Symfony & PHP Software Engineer - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Symfony and PHP to develop robust web applications that meet the needs of our clients. As a key member of our engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of high-quality software solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop scalable web applications using Symfony and PHP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Implement unit tests and maintain high test coverage using PHPUnit.
  • Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Work with databases such as MySQL and MongoDB to manage data effectively.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on Symfony.
  • Proficient in web technologies including JavaScript, Vue.js, and React.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Laravel or WordPress.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot.
