Senior Software Test Analyst - Hybrid Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Test Analyst to join our dynamic team at IO Datasphere, Inc. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products. As a Senior Software Test Analyst, you will be responsible for designing and executing both manual and automated test cases, generating test plans, and ensuring compliance with ADA standards. This position is hybrid, requiring you to work in the office two days a week in Lansing, MI, and will not allow for remote-only work.

What You'll Do

• Design and execute manual and automated test cases for various projects.
• Generate and document comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Conduct API testing and ADA compliance testing to ensure product accessibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design effective test cases.
• Communicate test results, bugs, and risks to developers and stakeholders effectively.
• Write clear Gherkin scenarios (Given/When/Then) and implement Step Definitions in Java.
• Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps for tracking bugs and managing test cases.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.
• Proficiency in Java and JavaScript, with experience in writing clean, maintainable code.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and RESTAssured.
• Ability to write SQL queries for test data setup and validation.
• Experience with ADA compliance testing tools like AccVerify and JAWS.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience using Azure DevOps Testing Module.
• Mobile app testing experience for iOS and Android applications.
• Familiarity with the TestNG framework.
