About the Role

Join tonies® as a Senior Software Engineer and take part in shaping the future of children's interactive audio experiences. This remote role allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to our innovative software platforms that power our global manufacturing operations. With over 10 million Tonieboxes sold worldwide, your work will directly impact how children play and learn independently.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, test, and maintain production systems used in factories, ensuring they are robust and reliable.
• Develop database features and integrations, user interfaces, and interactions with other systems to keep production running smoothly.
• Create and maintain system monitoring and observability solutions to enhance performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that meets quality and security standards.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to foster a culture of excellence.
• Integrate production systems with factory equipment and data platforms, ensuring data consistency and traceability.
• Support production launches and system rollouts, providing technical consultation on implementation aspects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, particularly in Python (Django).
• Experience with programming serial communication with hardware components.
• Solid experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale applications.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with GitLab and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of delivering reliable, scalable production systems.
