Senior Software Engineer - Provider Account Management

About the Role

Join Zocdoc as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on Provider Account Management. This remote position offers the chance to make a significant impact in healthcare by building systems that empower patients and providers alike. You will be integral in enhancing the onboarding experience for healthcare providers, ensuring they can easily manage their accounts and access the platform's features.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end development of provider-facing and internal experiences across React, C#, and AWS-based services, delivering secure, high-quality code that supports provider sign-up, onboarding, and account management at scale.
• Build reliable, performant systems for organization structure, user and role management, authentication and authorization, and communication preferences—balancing security, flexibility, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver intuitive, polished onboarding and setup experiences.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and shared ownership, with a strong belief in learning through collaboration.
• Explore and apply modern tools and technologies, including GenAI where appropriate, to improve developer productivity, system quality, and user experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience, with a focus on building scalable web applications.
• Strong experience with technologies such as C#, Scala, React, and Node.js.
• Proven ability to implement fast and efficient software solutions using object-oriented or functional languages.
• Experience writing automated tests and deploying code in a production environment.
• Demonstrated success in mentoring other engineers and promoting best practices in software development.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GenAI technologies.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems and user experience design.
• Knowledge of security best practices in software development.
