Senior Security Information Management Systems Administrator - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Security Information Management Systems Administrator to join our team. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development, implementation, and management of security information management systems. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our security processes and ensuring compliance with national standards.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the functional lead for IDA’s Security Information Management System (SIMS), overseeing its implementation and enhancement.
- Manage and support SIMS security applications, ensuring data consistency and integrity across multiple security functions.
- Develop processes and procedures for effective use of the SIMS system, providing guidance and training to HQ Security staff.
- Conduct routine security audits to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to schedule maintenance and upgrades, integrating with other systems as necessary.
- Utilize SIMS to automate new requirements for foreign travel reporting and ensure data accuracy between systems.
- Provide data analysis and develop standard reports to meet management requirements.
- Act as the Systems Administrator and Technical Lead for USG Cloud Security Management Systems (NBIS, DISS, NISS).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Security Studies, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of four years of experience in US Government/Contractor Security Systems Automation.
- Proficiency in managing Security Information Management systems, with strong preference for SIMS experience.
- Completion of SIMS Certification within six months of start date.
- Experience with project management and data analysis is strongly preferred.
- Must possess a minimum of a DoD Secret Clearance before hire.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Dashboard/Reporting tools such as Tableau, Cognos, or PowerBI.
- Knowledge of DoW clearance processes and related systems.
- Experience with NISPOM and applicable Intelligence Community Directives (ICD).
