Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil to join our team remotely. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in post-contracts and billing for data center projects to contribute significantly to our operations.
What You'll Do
- Conduct quantity take-offs for civil, structural, and architectural works using IS 1200, POMI, or similar standards.
- Utilize software tools such as Cost X and AutoCAD for quantity take-off, summarizing quantities, and transferring data into Bills of Quantities (BOQs) or cost plans.
- Draft and validate Bills of Quantities, ensuring accuracy through bulk checks.
- Support cost estimation activities by identifying material and labor rates and understanding rate analysis for standard work items.
- Prepare interim payment recommendations and maintain cost control documentation.
- Manage change control processes and contribute to cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and valuation of variations.
- Apply your knowledge of construction technologies and methods in cost planning tasks.
- Assess cost implications of materials, labor, and construction methods during design and execution stages.
Requirements
- Diploma or B. Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 7-9 years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically in post-contract roles.
- Strong understanding of the tendering process and documentation.
- Proficiency in using software tools for quantity take-off and cost estimation.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data center projects is a plus.
- Knowledge of international standards in quantity surveying.
