Senior Python Developer - Hybrid Role with Visa Sponsorship

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This Senior Python Developer remote position offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work from home two days a week while collaborating in the office three days a week. What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Python.
• Work with technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop ecosystems (HDFS, Hive, Impala), Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Implement unit testing and contribute to continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Document your work and ensure code quality through peer reviews.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in software development with a focus on Python.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience in an Open-Source environment.
• Proficiency in creating algorithms, particularly in the electricity sector ecosystem.
• Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in Dutch is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with JIRA for project management.
• Certification in relevant technologies.
