Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure Development (Remote)
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in guiding the early development of high-value, complex infrastructure projects at Greater Western Water. You will be responsible for leading the preparation of robust business cases and comprehensive handover documentation, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Lead the timely development of Part 1 Business Cases and handover of projects to Delivery, ensuring compliance with Department of Treasury & Finance requirements.
- Engage and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to ensure projects meet service needs and build strong alignment for agreed project pathways.
- Mentor and support Project Managers and Engineers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
- Build capability within Integrated Asset Planning by coaching Team Leaders and business case development champions.
- Collaborate with teams to identify and prioritize the project development pipeline, considering business needs and deliverability.
- Incorporate feedback from various teams to improve project development processes and guide development timelines.
- Lead complex cross-team investigations and studies as required.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure project development and planning.
- Proven capability in capital delivery and operations.
- Experience developing network or treatment plant projects for water, sewer, or recycled water infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in business case development and writing.
- Proven project management skills, including leading complex projects from planning through to handover.
- Effective people leadership and change management abilities.
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or relevant industry experience.
- Water or utility experience is desirable.
