Staff Solutions Architect - Remote Role at Temporal Technologies

About the Role

We're hiring a Staff Solutions Architect to join our team at Temporal Technologies. This remote role is crucial for guiding prospects and customers in understanding the suitability of their applications for Temporal's platform. As a Staff Solutions Architect, you'll showcase the technical advantages of our cloud service and help position Temporal against alternative technologies.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with prospects to determine if their applications fit Temporal's platform well.
• Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal's platform and cloud service.
• Position Temporal as a leading solution against competing technologies and architectural patterns.
• Foster an environment within customer engineering organizations to increase the adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments.
• Partner closely with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans.
• Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers within customer organizations, ensuring they fully leverage Temporal's capabilities.
• Travel 25% plus for customer engagements and company events.

Requirements

• High preference for residing within the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
• Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal's supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C#, or PHP.
• Firm grasp of operational considerations in production environments, such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
• Ability to provide insightful advice on architectural topics, including application patterns and platform architectures.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with commonly used application development and production services.

• Can come up to speed without any sales-specific training (i.e., from docs, videos & conversations).
• Partners well with engineers working at customer organizations.
