Head of Design - Transforming B2B Accounts Receivable

About the Role

Stuut is seeking a Head of Design to lead our design function and enhance our product experience. As the Head of Design, you will play a crucial role in transforming B2B accounts receivable through our innovative platform. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with engineering leadership to shape product direction and prioritization. What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end product experience for Stuut’s AR automation platform, ensuring clarity and usability in complex workflows.
• Define product principles, interaction patterns, and UX standards that elevate user trust and experience.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system and component library to ensure product consistency.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to deliver high-quality features quickly, establishing clear quality benchmarks.
• Engage with users and prospects to gather insights that drive product direction.
• Establish a design operating cadence, including critiques and prioritization processes to enhance team efficiency.
• Hire and develop a talented design team, starting with foundational individual contributors.
• Coordinate with external brand partners to align brand and product identity.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your leadership in design direction.
• Expertise in UX fundamentals, information architecture, and workflow design.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and make informed trade-offs.
• High standards for design quality and the ability to implement systematic design processes.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineers, ensuring effective communication and feedback integration.
• Experience operating as a product lead, demonstrating a proactive approach to design challenges.

Nice to Have

• Experience in finance, operations, or ERP-related workflows.
• Background in designing autonomous systems with agentic UX.
• Prior experience in building and scaling a design system from the ground up.
