Senior Product Designer - AI-Driven Systems

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Product Designer for AI-Driven Systems to join our innovative team at Mission. This role focuses on defining how users interact with complex, AI-driven systems in high-stakes financial and audit environments. As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating autonomous system behavior and probabilistic AI outputs into clear, structured, and trustworthy user experiences. This position offers a unique opportunity to own the design process from concept to production-ready interfaces.

What You’ll Work On

• Translate complex audit requirements and evolving AI capabilities into clear, logical user flows.
• Design interaction models that help users understand and trust agent-driven systems.
• Define and evolve the core product architecture, including navigation, object relationships, and large-dataset workflows.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system and component library in Figma.
• Prototype workflows and interactions to validate ideas before engineering implementation.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate ideation and prototyping.
• Partner closely with product and engineering teams to shape product direction and trade-offs.
• Ensure interfaces are precise, accessible, and suitable for high-stakes decision-making environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional product design experience.
• Proven ownership of end-to-end design for complex products.
• Experience designing B2B, SaaS, or enterprise software.
• Strong systems thinker who can reason about entire product architectures.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous problem spaces and creating structure.
• Hands-on designer who can move from concept to detailed execution.
• Experience working across both startup environments and larger organizations.

Core Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Figma, including structured files and scalable component libraries.
• Strong information architecture and interaction design fundamentals.
• AI & Prototyping Fluency: Comfortable using modern AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, v0, or Replit.
• Able to rapidly prototype interactions, flows, or lightweight code to convey behavior.
• High standard for visual craft, including typography, spacing, and hierarchy.
• Clear communicator who can articulate design rationale and align stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Experience designing data-heavy or analytical interfaces (dashboards, tables, audit or fintech tools).
• Interest in LLM-enabled products and agent-driven workflows.
• Basic frontend knowledge (HTML, CSS, React) to collaborate effectively with engineers.
