About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team at Mollie, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our people get paid accurately and on time. What You'll Do

• Own and deliver accurate, timely payroll processing across multiple European countries, managing the full cycle from input to payment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external payroll providers, ensuring service quality and resolving issues quickly.
• Drive process improvements that make payroll faster, simpler, and more scalable as we grow.
• Ensure full compliance with local payroll regulations and tax requirements across all markets.
• Create clear documentation and reporting that gives leadership visibility into payroll operations.
• Support audits and year-end processes, making sure everything is audit-ready and compliant.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of hands-on experience in global or multi-country payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets - you're comfortable working with data and building your own solutions.
• Solid understanding of payroll fundamentals and how different country-specific payrolls work (experience with French, German, or Italian payroll is preferred).
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of your tasks, and manage multiple priorities without losing focus.
• Fluent in English (French, German, or Italian is a bonus).
