Data Science Specialist - Remote Position
About the Role
We are seeking a Data Science Specialist to join our team remotely. In this role, you will develop and standardize statistical models and analytics that enable high-quality decision-making across our MRO shops and Global Supply Chain. As a Data Science Specialist, you will work with complex data structures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and validate statistical models for MRO and supply chain problems, including regression and forecasting.
- Apply structured methods and heuristics to solve complex, ambiguous problems, combining data-driven insights with practical solutions.
- Define and maintain standard data models, KPIs, and reports across MRO shops and suppliers.
- Design and run repeatable data pipelines from various systems into governed analytics environments.
- Develop operational and management dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel to communicate key insights effectively.
- Monitor data quality and drive root cause fixes while maintaining clear documentation for models and metrics.
- Provide data and insights for Lean and productivity initiatives, tracking the impact of changes over time.
- Work closely with shop leaders and Global Supply Chain teams to understand needs and support strategic projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.
- At least three years of experience in data science or analytics, ideally in manufacturing or supply chain.
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling using Python or R.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases, and building dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to translate business questions into data requirements and actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with Lean methodology and practical problem-solving techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in remote teams.
- Self-motivated and disciplined to achieve business goals with limited supervision.

- Experience integrating data from ERP and planning systems into analytics solutions.
- Project management skills, including planning and stakeholder communication.
- Passion for developing sustainable and lean data processes.
- Knowledge of Aero Alliance products and key operational metrics.
