Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will lead the engineering and design of custom pharmaceutical equipment, ensuring that all designs meet customer specifications and quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with customers and Project Managers to define conceptual configurations and initial design requirements.
• Review customer specifications and incorporate them into assigned projects.
• Develop custom mechanical designs that meet customer needs and industry standards.
• Follow project schedules and complete assigned tasks on time.
• Prepare advanced bills of materials and identify long-lead components.
• Review final design packages to ensure compliance with current specifications and requirements.
• Produce drawings for approval and release, including major component designs.
• Provide hands-on support to the manufacturing team during system build and assembly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of related mechanical design experience preferred.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software, including Pro-E/Creo (preferred), AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
• Ability to create detailed 3D assemblies and fully documented 2D drawings in accordance with ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing standards.
• Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in sanitary pharmaceutical equipment (e.g., sanitary valves, pumps, flow meters, tanks).
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative design team.
• Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
