About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Materials Planner remote to join our dynamic team at Celestica. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and executing production schedules for various products. You will work independently on moderately complex tasks and ensure the integrity of the materials requirements plan.

What You'll Do

  • Develop production schedules based on customer demand and product profiles.
  • Analyze inputs such as capacity and material availability to determine optimal scheduling.
  • Communicate materials availability to support build plans throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage issues associated with engineering changes to minimize cost exposure.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced employees.
  • Coordinate resources to meet shipment commitments and review product inventory levels.
  • Make decisions regarding workload allocation and hiring practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in materials planning or supply chain management.
  • Basic knowledge of production planning fundamentals and scheduling techniques.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment is a plus.
