About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Operations Engineer to join our team at Gong. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of revenue intelligence by optimizing our marketing execution systems. As a Senior Marketing Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and enhancing the systems that drive our marketing efforts.

What You'll Do

  • Independently configure and maintain complex lifecycle automation, routing logic, scoring models, and system integrations across the marketing technology stack.
  • Own end-to-end technical execution of projects, from scoping and configuration through testing, deployment, and post-launch validation.
  • Translate architectural designs and business requirements into scalable system configurations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies, data inconsistencies, and integration risks.
  • Monitor and maintain system health, ensuring automation and integrations perform reliably at scale.
  • Lead rigorous testing and change management processes for all technical updates.
  • Implement and maintain data validation, hygiene, and operational guardrails in partnership with RevOps and Analytics.
  • Provide technical feasibility recommendations and scope estimates during cross-functional planning.
  • Maintain detailed system documentation, including configuration logic, dependencies, and change logs.
  • Continuously improve system performance by identifying automation opportunities that reduce manual effort and operational fragility.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in configuring and maintaining complex marketing automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of routing logic, scoring models, and system integrations.
  • Ability to own end-to-end technical execution of projects.
  • Experience in translating architectural designs into scalable configurations.
  • Proficiency in identifying and resolving workflow inefficiencies.
  • Experience in monitoring system health and ensuring reliable performance.
  • Strong testing and change management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
