Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Computer Vision Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team remotely. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will focus on applying advanced machine learning techniques, particularly in the field of computer vision. Your role will involve taking state-of-the-art deep learning methods from ideation to production, making a significant impact across various industries.

What You'll Do

• Act as a tech lead in major machine learning projects, guiding the team through complex challenges.
• Scope machine learning projects and assess their technical feasibility through direct client interactions.
• Contribute to the development of the next-generation AI stack and grow the open-source ecosystem.
• Implement machine learning methods and apply them to real-world use cases, particularly in computer vision.
• Collaborate with data, backend, and frontend engineers to build production-ready AI solutions.
• Support junior colleagues by providing mentorship and guidance in their professional development.
• Assist in defining and executing the Computer Vision strategy for the organization.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Proficient in Python and experienced with deep learning libraries such as PyTorch.
• Expertise in one or more cloud platforms: Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience leading computer vision projects and a comprehensive understanding of the computer vision landscape.
• Strong software engineering practices, including version control, clean code, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and explain complex technical solutions.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German (minimum B1 level) is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with NLP, GNNs, classic computer vision methods, and causal inference.
