About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Kotlin Java Developer to join our dynamic team at CI&T. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects with one of Brazil's largest digital banks. As a Senior Kotlin Java Developer, you will leverage your expertise in Java and Kotlin to create scalable tech solutions that integrate human expertise with AI.

What You'll Do

  • Engage in the entire software development lifecycle, from functionality conception to continuous improvement.
  • Utilize your proficiency in Java and Kotlin to develop robust backend solutions.
  • Implement microservices architecture and adhere to best practices such as TDD, DDD, and Clean Code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies like SCRUM or KANBAN.
  • Manage databases using SQL and ensure efficient data handling through HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
  • Utilize GIT and Git Flow for version control and collaboration.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
  • Instrument applications for performance metrics and logging.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Java and Kotlin with a focus on backend development.
  • Proven track record in microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with agile practices and frameworks.
  • Experience with SQL databases and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively.
  • Experience with unit, functional, and performance testing.
  • Knowledge of AWS services and cloud-based solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Spring Boot and/or Javalin frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, SQS, and SNS.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
  • Understanding of event-driven architectures.
