Senior Java Software Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team at Bitso, where you will be part of a diverse group committed to making crypto useful for everyday life in Latin America. This remote Java Software Engineer position is crucial as we work on the AuthRevamp project, which is foundational for the security of our platform and our 9 million users.

What You'll Do

• Ship high-impact code that is robust and scalable, ensuring our platform can handle immense growth.
• Drive quality through thorough code reviews, maintaining high standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, leveraging your expertise to debug and resolve critical security or performance issues.
• Champion pragmatic progress by promoting engineering excellence, favoring intelligent risks, and fast feedback loops.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-scale solutions from the ground up.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, particularly with Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
• Deep expertise in security engineering, authentication, and security protocols.
• Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and API design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience with PHP and Shell Scripting.
