Senior Java Developer - Microservices & Spring Boot

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer remote to join our team at Coforge. This role is crucial for designing and developing core components of our Java-based web applications, utilizing Java Microservices and Spring Boot. As a Senior Java Developer remote, you will work collaboratively with frontend developers and participate in architectural design reviews, ensuring system reliability and scalability within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain core components of our Java-based web application.
• Collaborate with frontend developers on JavaScript/SCSS-based web interfaces.
• Build automation scripts (e.g., Groovy, Shell) to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure system reliability and scalability in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.
• Participate in architectural design reviews and contribute to product modernization initiatives.
• Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge across the team.
• Collaborate with product owners and DevOps to deliver features on schedule.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java (8+) and enterprise application development.
• Experience in web application development with JavaScript/SCSS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build automation (Gradle/Jenkins), and artifact management.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks (Cypress, JUnit).

• Experience in the airline/travel domain.
• Willingness and ability to participate in on-call production support.
