Senior HIL/​EGSE Test Applications Developer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Join The Exploration Company as a Senior HIL/EGSE Test Applications Developer. This remote position offers you the chance to contribute to the development of Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and integrating automated test software applications that validate electronics across various levels, from individual boards to full subsystems.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation software for board-level, equipment-level, and subsystem-level testing.
• Define and implement hardware and software architectures tailored to specific test scenarios and HiL environments.
• Develop LabVIEW-based applications for both desktop and real-time platforms (e.g., PXI, cRIO).
• Integrate and configure NI VeriStand as part of real-time test setups.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software into functional test platforms.
• Support test execution, data acquisition, logging, and automated reporting.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture specifications, code documentation, and user guides.
• Provide support for debugging, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of test platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW, including desktop and real-time application development.
• Hands-on experience with NI VeriStand in real-time test environments.
• Familiarity with NI TestStand for test automation and execution management.
• Solid understanding of test platform architectures, hardware/software integration, and real-time systems.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with a structured and methodical approach.
• Experience working with LabVIEW FPGA is appreciated.
• Ability to write and integrate Python scripts to extend test workflows or support automation tasks.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines, drive initiatives, and deliver in a high-paced environment.
