Senior Go Backend Developer - Remote Opportunities Available

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Go Backend Developer to join our innovative team at adjoe, a leading mobile ad platform. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge advertising solutions while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. As a Senior Go Backend Developer, you'll play a crucial role in developing our backend systems, primarily written in Go, and maintaining our microservice architecture.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to the development of our backend systems and maintain our microservice architecture, ensuring efficient communication with our frontend applications.
• Utilize event buses like Kafka, SQS/SNS, and Kinesis for reliable asynchronous microservice communication.
• Optimize queries and data retrieval processes using modern databases such as DynamoDB and Scylla to achieve low-latency responses.
• Collaborate with the Data Science and BI teams to identify potential vulnerabilities in our systems and implement effective mitigations.
• Develop sophisticated VPN detection systems capable of identifying residential proxies.
• Aggregate billions of daily API events in our Kafka and Kinesis streams for rapid querying from our data lake.
• Participate in peer code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions within our developer community.
• Work in an international, English-speaking team dedicated to scaling our adtech platform.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 3 years in Go.
• Strong understanding of databases and networking, including TCP and HTTP protocols.
• Familiarity with Regular Expressions and Encoding.
• Willingness to relocate to Hamburg, Germany.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), Docker, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in adtech or fraud prevention systems.
• Knowledge of advanced data processing techniques.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and best practices.
