Senior Global Director of Country Operations - Remote

About the Role

GiveDirectly is seeking a Senior Global Director of Country Operations to lead and enhance our operations across all country offices. This Senior Global Director of Country Operations remote position offers a unique opportunity to architect the operational backbone of a global organization that delivers hundreds of millions of dollars in cash transfers annually. You will work closely with our COO and other department leads to shape the operating model that will drive GiveDirectly’s growth over the next decade.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and strengthen operations across all country offices, ensuring excellence in service delivery to recipients.
• Develop and implement strategies that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to align operational goals with organizational objectives.
• Manage diverse stakeholders and lead change management initiatives.
• Travel 15%-25% for country office visits and team offsites to ensure operational alignment.

Requirements

• Proven track record of delivering results in a leadership role, preferably in a non-profit or international development context.
• Experience in operations across various functions such as finance, HR, procurement, and compliance.
• Deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Strong ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
• Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
