Senior GCP Cloud Engineer - Remote Opportunity with Relocation Support

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior GCP Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team at Fekra Technologies. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on a major Google Cloud transformation program while providing relocation support for those interested in moving. As a Senior GCP Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and operating a production-ready GCP Landing Zone, ensuring secure networking and platform services, and supporting migration waves.

What You'll Do

  • Build and operate a production-grade GCP Landing Zone, including organization, folders, and projects.
  • Design and manage Shared VPCs, subnets, routing, and firewall policies.
  • Implement IAM baselines, organization policies, budgets, tags, and guardrails.
  • Enable central logging, monitoring, and security posture controls.
  • Configure KMS/CMEK and encryption standards.
  • Implement HA VPN and Interconnect components as needed.
  • Manage DNS, load balancing, and egress governance.
  • Deploy and integrate services such as SCC, Cloud Armor, logging/monitoring, backup, storage, and Pub/Sub.
  • Deliver infrastructure using Terraform with Git-based workflows.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitLab, or Jenkins.
  • Support migration factory execution and perform post-migration validation.
  • Produce high-quality as-built diagrams, runbooks, and handover materials.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of infrastructure or cloud engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud (GCP).
  • Strong experience with Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in GCP networking, IAM, logging, monitoring, and security baselines.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Network, or Security).
  • Experience in compliance-heavy or regulated environments.
