About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (AI/ML Platforms) to join our innovative team at Nyxium. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI and geospatial intelligence platforms that are transforming infrastructure projects. You will play a crucial role in building and owning Nyxium’s core application and ML integration layer, making a significant impact in the field.

What You'll Do

• Design and build backend services that integrate AI and ML workflows into production systems.
• Develop APIs and orchestration layers to ensure AI outputs are traceable and suitable for audit.
• Implement intelligent workflows for regulatory documentation and compliance tracking.
• Build and maintain user-facing applications that expose complex AI outputs in clear, actionable ways.
• Collaborate on frontend architecture using modern frameworks like React and Next.js.
• Design schemas and APIs for systems that combine ML outputs with geospatial attributes.
• Improve system reliability, testing coverage, and observability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or ML-enabled systems.
• Strong Python experience in production systems with frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• Hands-on experience integrating ML or LLM systems into real applications.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, schema design, and data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of React and modern frontend patterns.
• Experience deploying systems on AWS and/or GCP.
• Comfortable operating in early-stage or high-ownership environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with geospatial data or spatial platforms.
• Background in environmental, infrastructure, healthcare, or regulated domains.
• Experience building internal tools or workflow automation systems.
