About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Flight Software Systems Engineer to join our innovative team at Lockheed Martin. This remote position will allow you to work on cutting-edge technologies in the aerospace sector, supporting the Mobile User Objective System Service Life Extension (MUOS SLE) Flight Software Team. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of space technology, where you will contribute to the entire flight software development lifecycle, including design, integration, and testing.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop specifications and interface control documents for flight software.
- Design and implement test scenarios to verify new capabilities or defect fixes.
- Participate in system testing activities with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Utilize JIRA and Agile methodologies to manage project tasks and progress.
- Engage in software testing and hardware/software integration activities.
Requirements
- Proven knowledge of software/systems engineering concepts and processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with spacecraft bus or payload flight software.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and JIRA.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment with hardware in the loop.
