Senior Electrical Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our innovative team at NOV. This Senior Electrical Engineer remote position offers you the chance to contribute to the development of advanced crane and lifting equipment. You will collaborate closely with skilled engineers in electrical, instrumentation, and drive systems, focusing on quality and innovation.

What You'll Do

• Design electrical crane systems, including sizing frequency converters and motors.
• Engage in technical clarifications with suppliers and customers.
• Prepare documentation for testing and installation.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Travel may be required for project needs.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience with frequency converters (drives) and motors.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience in the offshore or maritime industry.
• Experience with engineering tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar software (EPLAN is a clear advantage).
• Fluency in English and Norwegian.

Nice to Have

• Experience in remote-controlled and autonomous lifting systems.
• Familiarity with offshore project environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team.
