About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Inverter Focus (Remote) to join our innovative team at Sun King. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and validation of inverter systems for our renewable energy and power conversion products. You will oversee the complete hardware development cycle—from concept design through to mass production—ensuring robust, efficient, and compliant solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Design inverter power stages, including topology selection, component sizing, and schematic capture.
  • Develop critical circuits such as gate drivers, sensing modules, protection systems, and auxiliary power supplies.
  • Lead prototype bring-up, debugging, and hardware validation testing.
  • Perform EMC design and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support product certification processes (safety, grid compliance, environmental).
  • Prepare detailed design documentation and facilitate smooth transfer to manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on hardware design experience with inverters, PCS, UPS, or converters.
  • Strong expertise in power semiconductors (IGBTs, MOSFETs, SiC/GaN) and magnetic design.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Altium or PADs, and simulation tools like PSIM or LTspice.
  • Practical experience in PCB layout for high-current and high-voltage applications.
  • Solid debugging skills using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in renewable energy projects.
  • Familiarity with international standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of software development for embedded systems.

What We Offer

  • Professional growth in a dynamic, rapidly expanding, high-social-impact industry.
  • An open-minded, collaborative culture made up of enthusiastic colleagues who are driven by the challenge of innovation towards profound impact on people and the planet.
  • A truly multicultural experience: you will have the chance to work with and learn from people from different geographies, nationalities, and backgrounds.
  • Structured, tailored learning and development programs that help you become a better leader, manager, and professional through the Sun Center for Leadership.
