Senior Developer - Security & Confidential Computing

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Developer for Security & Confidential Computing to join our team at SAP. This exciting opportunity allows you to work remotely while contributing to the future of cloud-native infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in shaping security architectures for our IronCore project, which is pivotal for SAP's cloud services across Europe.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement security architectures into IronCore cloud infrastructure, focusing on identity, network, and workload protection.
• Implement and operate network security controls, including firewalling, tenant isolation, and policy enforcement.
• Enable encryption on multiple levels of IronCore Cloud Infrastructure.
• Collaborate with SAP teams and external partners on hardware-based security topics, creating a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE).
• Develop and maintain code for IronCore open-source components, primarily using Go and C.

Requirements

• Strong experience in cloud infrastructure security, especially with Kubernetes platforms and Linux-based systems.
• Solid background in network security, including firewalling and secure connectivity.
• Deep understanding of Linux and system-level security, including hardening and access control.
• Experience with confidential computing technologies and hardware-backed security.
• Proficiency in system programming languages, preferably Go or C.
• Good communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
