Electronic Technician - Placement & Routing (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking an Electronic Technician specializing in Placement & Routing to join our team at Scalian. This is a remote position where you will contribute to critical electronic systems for the aerospace and defense sectors. You will work with a talented team and engage in complex projects that have a significant impact on technology and safety.

What You'll Do

• Perform component placement considering electrical, mechanical, thermal, and industrial constraints.
• Ensure the routing of electronic boards, particularly on multilayer architectures.
• Apply PCB design rules related to EMC, signal integrity, and manufacturing constraints.
• Utilize electronic schematics to prepare and execute CAD work.
• Create, adapt, or verify component footprints and libraries according to project standards.
• Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, industrialization, and production teams to ensure board feasibility.
• Compile and update definition files and technical documents associated with designed boards.
• Participate in prototype monitoring, analyze manufacturing feedback, and implement routing corrections as necessary.

Requirements

• Degree in Electronics (BAC+2/3) or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in placement and routing of complex boards.
• Strong knowledge of electronic CAD tools.
• Understanding of multilayer board constraints.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic plans and schematics.

Nice to Have

• Experience in aerospace or defense industries.
• Familiarity with signal integrity analysis.
• Knowledge of embedded software development.
