About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer - Realtime Order Analytics to join our dynamic team. This position is based in Stamford, Connecticut, but we welcome nationwide candidates. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work on real-time financial transaction data, building scalable AWS-based data pipelines that support business intelligence, analytics, and regulatory reporting. This is a hybrid opportunity offering strong compensation, long-term stability, and exposure to enterprise-scale data systems.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL and data pipelines using AWS services.
- Process real-time data from Kafka streams and S3 storage.
- Build scalable data solutions using Python, PySpark, and PyAthena.
- Develop data transformation logic for analytics and regulatory reporting.
- Design optimized data models and schemas.
- Implement automated data quality checks and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and performance issues.
- Contribute to data architecture and infrastructure decisions.
- Ensure systems meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
- Continuously improve data pipelines for scalability and reduced maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python (as a primary programming language), PySpark, and PyAthena.
- Solid experience with AWS services – S3, Glue, Athena, EMR.
- Experience with Kafka or streaming data platforms.
- Proficient in SQL and database systems.
- Familiarity with Pandas or NumPy.
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.

Who Will Succeed Here
