Senior Data Engineer - Realtime Order Analytics

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer - Realtime Order Analytics to join our dynamic team. This position is based in Stamford, Connecticut, but we welcome nationwide candidates. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work on real-time financial transaction data, building scalable AWS-based data pipelines that support business intelligence, analytics, and regulatory reporting. What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL and data pipelines using AWS services.
• Process real-time data from Kafka streams and S3 storage.
• Build scalable data solutions using Python, PySpark, and PyAthena.
• Develop data transformation logic for analytics and regulatory reporting.
• Design optimized data models and schemas.
• Implement automated data quality checks and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and performance issues.
• Contribute to data architecture and infrastructure decisions.
• Ensure systems meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
• Continuously improve data pipelines for scalability and reduced maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python (as a primary programming language), PySpark, and PyAthena.
• Solid experience with AWS services – S3, Glue, Athena, EMR.
• Experience with Kafka or streaming data platforms.
• Proficient in SQL and database systems.
• Familiarity with Pandas or NumPy.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
