About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Blockchain Engineer to join our dynamic team at Zerohash. This is a fully remote role designed for candidates based in LATAM. As a Senior Blockchain Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and building new features while scaling our gateway to Finance 2.0. If you are passionate about blockchain technology and eager to make a significant impact in a high-growth startup, this position is for you!

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to the design and development of software in an event-driven microservices environment.
  • Develop microservices using Golang to enhance our blockchain infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with platform engineers to set up new services and improve existing ones.
  • Respond to production issues and alerts, ensuring system reliability.
  • Communicate directly with client technical teams when necessary.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in the FinTech space.
  • Deep proficiency with Golang and understanding of SQL and database schema design.
  • A humble and scrappy mindset; resourceful and capable of going from 0 to 1.
  • Solid understanding of market structure, order types, trade lifecycle, and risks associated with electronic trading.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining high-performance low-latency trading systems.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to independently lay out and test hypotheses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience at a banking-as-a-service, brokerage-as-a-service, or payment-as-a-service business.
  • Familiarity with digital assets and distributed systems design.
  • Experience with messaging frameworks like Kafka, ZeroMQ, or NATS.
