About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior ASIC Design Engineer - Remote to join our innovative team at Cornelis Networks. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced ASIC solutions that drive high-speed data processing and networking capabilities. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that meet the demands of our clients.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and development of ASIC architectures, focusing on performance engineering and timing closure.
  • Utilize Verilog and System Verilog for digital design and verification of high-speed networking protocols.
  • Implement and optimize designs for PCIe and DDR4 interfaces, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct performance analysis and debugging using EDA tools to enhance design efficiency.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate ASIC designs with software applications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in ASIC design.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies.
  • Document design specifications and maintain accurate records of design changes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in ASIC design and development, with a strong focus on high-speed networking.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and System Verilog, with hands-on experience in digital design.
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols such as Ethernet and PCIe.
  • Experience with EDA tools for performance analysis and timing closure.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as TCL, Python, or Perl for automation tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and SOC design.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for front-end integration.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks.
