Senior Accountant - Remote Opportunity at Phoenix Rescue Mission

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join the Phoenix Rescue Mission team. What You'll Do

• Support the Controller in maintaining internal controls for all Statement of Financial Position accounts.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile Financial Edge with Raiser’s Edge.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage contracts to ensure compliance and provide necessary financial reporting.
• Oversee the Mission's billing process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in devotions and activities that promote a credible Christian witness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, or equivalent education and experience.
• Proficient in accounting procedures and GAAP.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Familiarity with Financial Edge NXT is preferred.
• Strong initiative, self-direction, and time management skills.
• Demonstrated Christian witness and lifestyle.
