Senior Accessibility Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accessibility Engineer to join our team at Jobgether, a global platform dedicated to connecting job seekers with fully remote job opportunities. In this role, you will work remotely to enhance user experience across our platform by focusing on accessibility and inclusive design.

What You'll Do

• Engage in building features and establishing core foundations for accessibility.
• Contribute to internal design systems and accessibility programs.
• Collaborate with a high-seniority team on inclusive design initiatives.
• Refine tools and strategies for adhering to accessibility standards.
• Expand and maintain the Luna design system.
• Provide documentation for self-service support related to accessibility.
• Drive the A11Y program and implement necessary remediation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software bugs to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Leverage AI-driven tools for development efficiency and enhanced accessibility.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in web-based application development.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 standards and best practices.
• Experience with enterprise-scale platforms.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Expertise in CSS techniques and accessible design principles.
• Experience with software testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with AI development tools to enhance accessibility features.

Nice to Have

• Experience in leading accessibility initiatives within a team.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages.
• Previous work in SaaS environments.
