Seasonal Horticulture Technician - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Seasonal Horticulture Technician to join our team at Chalet, a family-owned company with over 100 years of experience in serving customers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely while caring for plants in our Nursery, ensuring they are in peak condition for our customers.

What You'll Do

• Perform plant care tasks including watering, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management for various plant types such as Annuals, Perennials, and Tropicals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Nursery areas and walkways, ensuring safety by keeping walkways clear of hoses.
• Assist with inventory tasks, including pricing and receiving, as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to both co-workers and customers.
• Work varied hours, including weekends, as the seasonal business demands.

Requirements

• Experience in retail, plant care, or pest and disease management is a plus.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Self-driven and handy, with a passion for working outdoors.
• Availability to work at least one weekend day is essential.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a horticulture or gardening role.
• Knowledge of plant care best practices.
