About the Role

We are looking for a Risk Management Analyst to join our team at Acorns, a remote-first organization. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate financial risks associated with money movement and our referral program. You will help drive growth while ensuring that our risk strategies enhance the customer experience.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and maintain scalable strategies to mitigate financial risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Banking, Invest, Analytics, Data Science, and Product to align risk strategies with company growth.
• Utilize data-driven decision-making by querying complex data environments to convert raw data into actionable insights.
• Monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) related to risk management.
• Support the technical infrastructure of our core products to identify and address vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to loss prevention efforts by implementing best-in-class risk practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Math, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in an operational, analytical, or risk-focused role, preferably in a financial institution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data processing.
• A passion for delivering innovative products that address societal challenges.
• Exceptional drive and precision in project delivery.
• Optimism about the potential for societal change.
