Research Scientist - Translational Molecular Pathology (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Research Scientist - Translational Molecular Pathology to join our innovative team at MD Anderson Cancer Center. This role focuses on advancing cancer research through translational molecular pathology, integrating cutting-edge techniques in immunoprofiling and digital pathology. As a Research Scientist, you will work closely with leading experts to bridge the gap between human and mouse model research, making a significant impact in the field of oncology.
What You'll Do
- Lead and contribute to translational research projects across various cancer types, emphasizing cancer immunoprofiling and digital pathology image analysis.
- Perform histopathologic reviews of fresh frozen and FFPE specimens, ensuring high-quality data collection and processing.
- Collaborate with principal investigators, pathologists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize research methodologies.
- Manage and analyze complex research data, preparing manuscripts and grant applications to support ongoing projects.
- Supervise and train laboratory personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and laboratory techniques.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Natural Sciences or a related field; PhD or Medical Degree preferred.
- 4 years of experimental or scientific work experience, or 2 years with a medical degree.
- Strong background in immunoprofiling studies and digital pathology.
- Proficiency in data analysis and management, with experience in creating scientific content for research protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with the APOLLO Moon Shot platform.
- Familiarity with laboratory supervision and training.
- Previous involvement in high-impact research programs.
