About the Role

We are looking for a talented Remote Video Editor to join our creative team at QuillBot. As a Remote Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our YouTube channel with engaging mid-length videos that cover topics such as AI, writing tools, and grammar rules. Your work will help us reach over 56 million users worldwide, making a significant impact in the field of education and content creation.

What You'll Do

• Transform raw footage into clear, engaging, and well-structured mid-length videos (1–10 minutes) that effectively communicate content.
• Follow the content brief to execute requested edits, ensuring each video meets goals for structure, pacing, visual storytelling, and brand consistency.
• Add visual examples, annotations, callouts, and other on-screen elements to enhance understanding and engagement.
• Create strong visual hooks and suggest eye-catching thumbnails to attract viewers.
• Apply brand guidelines consistently, including logos, colors, and fonts.
• Repurpose existing mid-length video content into polished short-form videos.
• Assist with quality control by reviewing final videos before publication to ensure high standards.
• Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new content ideas and improve existing videos.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a video editor, preferably with a portfolio showcasing your work.
• Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling and pacing.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all video content.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Passion for education and creating engaging content for a diverse audience.
• Experience with YouTube content creation is a plus.
