About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Software Engineer to join our innovative team at xAI. In this role, you will build cutting-edge software, services, and frameworks that empower our Network Development Engineers. As a Remote Software Engineer, you will tackle all facets of network management, including metric collection, configuration, zero-touch provisioning, monitoring, and auto-remediation. Your contributions will drive automation-first solutions for xAI’s production and ancillary networks, supporting our mission of accelerating human scientific discovery through AI.

What You'll Do

  • Develop extensible tools and streamline complex processes to enhance network management.
  • Implement automation solutions that ensure rock-solid reliability across xAI’s networks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver impactful software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software engineering.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on networking software and services.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Experience with network protocols and management tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
